How Our Network Works for Homeowners
Request an estimate
Who you talk to
After you send a request, you speak with an independent concrete provider from our network. That provider is a local business, not Professionalabove Concrete. They do the work, so they are the right person to answer your questions.
What the first conversation covers
Think of it like a doctor's first visit. The provider listens, asks questions, and then suggests a plan. Expect talk about:
- The size and shape of the driveway or patio
- Your slope, drainage and soil
- The finish you like, such as broom, colored or stamped concrete
- Your timing and the season
The provider may offer a visit to measure the site. Then you can request a written estimate.
What to ask a provider
A few good questions can save you trouble later. Ask before you pour:
- How thick will the slab be, and what will sit under it?
- How will you handle drainage and frost?
- Where will joints go, and why?
- Will you use reinforcement such as rebar or mesh?
- Who handles permits, if any are needed?
- How long before I can walk or drive on it?
- What does the written quote include?
Also ask about a start date, since many providers book up in warm months.
You are in control
A conversation is not a contract. You can compare more than one estimate, ask for changes, or wait for a better season. Cure slowly, last longer, and there is no prize for rushing. Costs vary by job, so get any price in writing before you agree.
